Year 11 Geography Field Trip – Birling Gap & Eastbourne
Published 16/10/2025
Our Year 11 students had a fantastic day out in the field, collecting vital data to support their GCSE Geography studies!
At Birling Gap, students investigated coastal erosion, gathering evidence to understand why this iconic stretch of coastline is disappearing at such a rapid rate.
In Eastbourne, they explored urban geography by collecting data on quality of life differences across various areas of the town — a key part of their human geography unit.
All data collected will be used to support their GCSE exam preparation, helping them apply classroom theory to real-world environments.
Well done to all involved — a brilliant day of learning outside the classroom
