Year 9 Sports Leaders Step Up
We are incredibly proud of our fantastic Year 9 Sports Leadership Groups: 9APE5 and 9BPE5, who have shown what it means to lead, support, and inspire through sport.
Throughout the term, students from both classes have taken on key leadership roles, helping to plan, coach, and deliver a wide range of physical activities. Whether working as full teams or in smaller groups based on their individual specialisms and interests, these students have gone above and beyond in making sport inclusive, enjoyable, and meaningful for others.
Their contributions have extended across the Beacon Cluster calendar, supporting events with energy, positivity, and professionalism. Their efforts haven’t gone unnoticed - they have been role models for peers and younger students alike.
A standout moment this term was when 9APE5 planned and delivered an all-inclusive sporting event for the Grove Park School community.
The event was a true testament to their empathy, creativity, and ability to adapt to the needs of all participants. It was not just a success; it was something special.
All students have shown tremendous growth, using their lesson time effectively and becoming independent, confident, and reflective learners. Their ability to collaborate, take initiative, and deliver sessions in a fun and stimulating environment is exactly what sports leadership is all about.
These young leaders have embodied the true spirit of the Pay It Forward ethos, giving their time, energy, and enthusiasm to lift others through the power of sport. Well done to all involved!
