BeaconFest 2025
We are looking forward to our open-air performing arts festival, BeaconFest on Thursday 19 June 2025, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm on Beeches Main Yard.
BeaconFest 2025 will showcase impressive performances from our talented Music, Dance and Drama students, providing them with an opportunity to perform for their friends and families in a fun, festival setting.
There will also be stalls and games, street food and refreshments, giant inflatable, a photo booth, glitter and face painting and a giant rafffle and face painting and a grand raffle. We are also delighted to have Chef Ian Brunsdon, MasterChef: The Professionals quarter finalist demonstrating some of his culinary skills live at the event.
Plus, BeaconFest 2025 will once again host “The Great Beacon Bake Off” which this year will be judged by our special guests, Sue Layne and Denise Carne ofLeaf & Bean Tea and Coffee House. We encourage as many of you as possible to enter – find out more below.
Event Details:
When: Thursday 19 June 2025, 5:00pm – 8:00pm
- Location: Beeches Site Main Yard
- Entry: £3.50 wristband plus two tokens available to purchase in advance via ParentPay until Tuesday 17 June
- Grand raffle: purchase 5 raffle tickets for £5 in advance via ParentPay until Tuesday 17 June
- Parking: minimal. We advise local residents to walk where possible.
BeaconFest entry wristbands are available to purchase now via ParentPay at £3.50 and will be distributed to students in advance of the event along with two tokens which are included in the cost of the wristband and can be redeemed at BeaconFest on one of the stalls, except the external food stalls. Student performers will receive a free wristband and two tokens.
Raffle tickets are available for Beacon Academy students and parents to purchase ahead of the event via ParentPay until Tuesday 17 June. Raffle tickets will not be distributed but purchases and ticket numbers will be recorded centrally and the winners chosen and announced at BeaconFest. It will also be possible to buy raffle tickets on the day of the event.
How to get involved:
Donate a tombola prize for non-uniform day: Friday 13 June 2025
Beacon Academy students in Years 7 - 10 are permitted to dress in non-uniform on Friday 13 June. In exchange, students are asked to either donate £1 or donate a prize for our tombola stall. Cash donations and tombola prizes will be collected during Tutor Time on Friday 13 June.
Suggested tombola prizes include: confectionery, toiletries, stationery or fashion accessories. No glass or breakable items please.
Ready, Steady, Bake!
Enter “The Great Beacon Bake Off!” by completing this online registration form. Students, parents and staff are welcome to enter and entries are free of charge. There are separate categories for adults and U16 bakers. Simply complete the form and we will contact you with instructions for bringing your best bakes on the day, for donation to our pop-up cake shop. One slice/piece/cake will be judged and could win a prize!
Donate a raffle prize
We are on the lookout for prizes to add to our BeaconFest Raffle! If you know a business or organisation that might be happy to donate a prize in exchange for publicity in our communications about the event, please contact Mrs Stoner at s.stoner@beacon-academy.org.
We are very much looking forward to BeaconFest 2025 and hope that with your continued support, our community festival will provide all attendees with an early evening of fun and family entertainment. All proceeds from this event will support Beacon Academy fundraising targets and future events.
