Honours Evening 2026

Honours Evening is a prestigious event for students in Years 7–10 and forms an important part of our end-of-year celebrations. The evening provides an opportunity for the Beacon Academy community to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements, progress and contributions of our students.

We were incredibly proud to acknowledge every student who was nominated, alongside our finalists and award winners. Their hard work, resilience, determination and positive contribution to school life were evident throughout the year and rightly deserved recognition.

The event was enhanced by an inspiring speech from former student Emily Baldwin, whose personal journey and reflections provided an encouraging and thought-provoking message for students and families alike. Her words embodied the school's MARK values and served as a reminder of the opportunities that lie ahead for our young people.

We were also pleased to welcome David Eden, Trustee and Chair of the Trust's Performance & Pay Committee, who joined the Headteacher and Heads of Year 7–10 in presenting awards and celebrating the successes of our students.

The evening featured outstanding performances from a talented student musician and the Gifted and Talented Dance Company, whose contributions added to the celebratory atmosphere and helped make the occasion particularly memorable.

Honours Evening was a fitting celebration of the talent, commitment and achievements of our students and an opportunity for families, staff and the wider school community to come together and recognise their success.
