World Book Day Competition 2026

Published 6/03/2026

As part of our week of World Book Day celebrations, students were invited to enter a competition to design a book or film poster advertising a title of their choice.

It was wonderful to see so many creative and impactful entries. The standard of artwork made it extremely hard for the judges to decide! After much deliberation, four winners were announced:

  • 1st place: Aiden - Stranger Things
  • 2nd place: Imogen - Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
  • 3rd place: Ivy - Loki
  • 4th place: Humairah - Magnus Chase by Rick Riordan

There were also special mentions for Dita, Freya and Alice for their fantastic designs. All posters will be displayed in the Library for students, staff and visitors to enjoy.

"We were thrilled to see how many students had entered this fantastic competition, showing huge enthusiasm for reading and World Book Day." commented our Literacy and EAL Coordinator, Mrs Hamilton-Brown. "The number of entries made it really hard to decide on the winners as they were all amazing and all so unique! Well done to those who did win and thank you to everyone who participated, both in this competition and in all the events which made this year's 'World Book Week' as incredible as it always is!"

A huge thank you to all students who took part! And an extra special thank you to our brilliant Librarian, Mrs Dolding, and our English department for organising a wonderful week of activities celebrating World Book Day!
