Students Excel in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge

The UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge is a 60-minute multiple-choice competition designed for excellent mathematicians in Years 9, 10, and 11, encouraging mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in problem-solving. To recognise the highest performers in the Challenge, the UKMT award the top-scoring 50% of participants bronze, silver and gold certificates in the ratio 3:2:1.

This year, Beacon Academy students achieved an incredible 8 Gold, 11 Silver and 11 Bronze. This is a fantastic outcome for our students in Years 9, 10 and 11!

Special congratulations to Owen in Year 11, who achieved the best score in the school and to George and Isaac in Year 10 and Jaxon in Year 9 for achieving best in their year groups.

Further to these results, Jaxon, Lucas and Owen have been invited to take part in the Pink Kangaroo next round.
