Catering Updates
Chartwells, our catering provider, visited both our secondary and sixth form site on Wedensday 19 November.
They met with a group of students to provide feedback on the actions completed since the last student voice session and to discuss their catering experience and ideas for the future.
Our students were given the opportunity to feedback on the quality, cost and quantity of food, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, the variety of the menu across the week and the overall catering environment. They suggested ideas for future theme days and how these could be linked to our curriculum and how we can further develop the promotion of the weekly menu, menu specials, meal deals and street food inspired pop-ups. They also discussed initiatives to support sustainability and a reduction in food waste.
They were interested to hear more about how menus are decided, what items cannot be used and why, how to identify healthier items and understand the self management of allergens and how all students can pre-order their food in the morning.
We will look to hold another session in term 4.
