Beacon Academy’s Autumn Open Events Welcome Prospective Students and Families

On Saturday 4 October, Beacon Academy proudly opened its doors to prospective Year 7 families and Year 11 students interested in joining the Sixth Form.

We were thrilled to welcome so many visitors and to feel the fantastic buzz throughout the Academy. It was wonderful to see families from across the community come together to explore what Beacon Academy has to offer.

A special thank you goes out to our dedicated student volunteers who supported various departments and delivered inspiring talks, as well as to our committed staff and all the visiting families who helped make the event such a success.

Following the Open Day, Year 8 Student Ambassadors played an essential role during the Academy’s popular Open Mornings for Year 6 children. These student volunteers represent Beacon Academy at key events, guiding prospective parents and students on tours and sharing valuable insights into student life. 

Feedback from attendees highlighted the professionalism and outstanding approach of the Student Ambassadors, who were described as, “kind, polite, confident, knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with."

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to see our school in action. It's been lovely to receive so many kind words and feedback from the families who came to both events.
