BeaconFest 2025

Our school community came together on Thursday 19 June to celebrate the summer at BeaconFest 2025, an exciting fundraising event showcasing the talents and abilities of the school’s Music,Dance and Drama students.

The event featured an incredible showcase from our talented students in Music, Dance and Drama helping us raising over £4,000 for the school.

There was something for everyone to enjoy, with stalls and games including inflatables, sporting activities,  face painting, a photo booth, tombola and a raffle.

Talented bakers entered show stopping bakes into The Great BeaconFest Bake Off which was judged by special guest judges, Sue and Denise from Leaf & Bean. The judges were impressed by the level of skill and artistry demonstrated by the contestants and selected winners in both the under-16 and over-16 categories, who were presented with Leaf & Bean vouchers, Star Baker aprons and certificates.

Thank you to all our external food vendors – you truly brought the festival atmosphere to life! And a huge thank you to all the amazing businesses that so generously donated raffle prizes – we couldn’t have done it without you!

A very special thank you to Ian Brunsdon, a Beacon alumnus and MasterChef: The Professionals quarter-finalist, for his inspiring and skilful live cookery demonstration. He wowed us all by creating a delicious pasta dish from scratch!

We are incredibly proud of all the students who contributed to this inspirational community event, and we’d like to congratulate everyone who took part.
