Literacy & Numeracy Catch-Up
The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium is provided to schools for each child in Year 7 who did not achieve the expected standard in reading and/or mathematics at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2). In 2020 to 2021 the ESFA will allocate funding to schools on the basis that they receive the same overall amount of Year 7 catch-up premium funding they received in 2019 to 2020. It will be adjusted to reflect the percentage change in the size of their Year 7 cohort, based on the October 2020 census. The amount received this year is: £21,917.
Please see our Literacy and Numeracy Catch Up Statement below for details on the impact this sum made in 2019/2020 on targeted students’ progress in literacy and numeracy, and the strategies for 2020/2021 funding.
