Miss Tanner-Hammond’s Year 8 Tech classes have been investigating how plastic pollution is affecting our sea life. It is a hard-hitting project that looks at the destruction plastics have already caused in our oceans.
During the course of the six-week project, students explored ways of reusing and reworking plastics so that they do not end up in landfill, including weaving, heat manipulation and sewing, as well as designing their own reusable bottles and posters.
The students have received a message from World Wildlife Fund UK, thanking them for helping to spread the word about protecting our wildlife and planet from plastic pollution. Keep up the brilliant work!
