Catering & Lunch Menu
Menus at Cafe Beech and Sixth Form
New School Food Standards guidance came into effective in January 2015, and we are pleased to confirm that our menu from our Catering Provider, Chartwells, for the current Academic Year 2017/2018 complies with these regulations. Beacon operates a cashless catering system at Cafe Beech and therefore we are not able to accept cash at the tills in Cafe Beech. Cash is still accepted at the Sixth Form Centre. For up to date prices please see the Meal Tariffs for the academic year 2017/2018. Our lunch menu can be viewed here.
Each student has an on-line account, and parents can make top up payments using ParentPay. Parent Pay can be accessed via the link from our website, or by clicking www.parentpay.com. If you experience problems accessing your Parent Pay account, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the Finance Department (01892 603035). Students can also top up their accounts directly by using the revaluation machines which can be found in Cafe Beech and in the Student Support corridor. The machines accept notes and coins (10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2), however please note the at the new £5 notes being issued with effect from 1 September 2016 are not compatible with all machines at present. The old £5 notes still remain legal tender for the foreseeable future.
Students are issued with a PIN, this PIN is required for at the point of purchase and to use the revaluation machines. Students should make every effort to remember their PIN and keep it secure. At the till point the canteen staff can see the student’s photograph to verify their identity. Certain data will be held on the system to enable accurate operation. This includes the student’s name, class, photo, account balance and meal entitlement. This data is handled under the guidelines of the Data Protection Act and is only used by parties directly involved with the implementation of the system.
