We are now recruiting teachers to apply to join the next cohort launching in June.
I know that choosing a secondary school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your children and family.
At Beacon Academy the relationships between the staff and students are some of the most phenomenal I have ever seen. Staff have high expectations, are ambitious for the students and they know them well. The rigorous focus on the child as a unique individual ensures that the lessons they receive are personalised and allow them to be actively engaged in their learning. I encourage you to come and see this for yourselves.
At Beacon Academy, it is our vision to provide the best possible education for all of our students and to remain an exceptional educational establishment locally, nationally and globally.

Following the tragic death of Caroline Flack earlier this year, Laura Whitmore’s words of “in a world where you can be anything, be kind” have been frequently quoted and used to encourage people to treat others with compassion.

In celebration of National Storytelling Week (1 – 8 February 2020), the Library challenged students to submit their own creative writing piece. They were issued full creative licence; the submissions could range from fact to fiction, from poetry to mini novellas. Alex Silbergh’s short story, Gilla and Quilla, was a stand-out entry, worthy of show-casing in our newsletter! Before reading the full story, our Year 7 author would like to share his thoughts with you:
