At Beacon, we are very lucky to have our own pool. It is 22 metres long and 8 metres wide. It is 0.9 metres deep in the shallow end and 2.23 metres in the deep end.

In the first 2 terms the pool is used almost exclusively by Beacon students in their curriculum lessons but in the Summer term it is opened up to the Primary Schools in the area.

Swim School

Beacon Community College has its own swim school.  We cater for everything from toddlers, on a Saturday, to adults. We provide:

• quality swimming tuition for juniors and adults of all abilities
• lifeguard courses
• aquafit classes
• scuba courses

We are a recognised training centre for lifeguard and swim teacher training.  All classes are run by qualified swim instructors and are based at Beacon Community College’s indoor pool, East Beeches Road, Crowborough, TN6 2AS.

Saturdays 11am onwards

Aquafit Classes

Tuesdays 6.30 - 7.15pm &
Thursdays 5.30 - 6.15pm

The majority of our classes are quite small, but should we become over subscribed we can put on more classes. Our emphasis is on strokes but we aim to have fun while learning. We try to have a relaxed atmosphere and hope that we are user friendly! Beacon staff are entitled to a discount for these lessons and discounts are also available for people on benefits. We have various other benefits available that make us unique in the area.

The pool is also available to hire for birthday parties, the price will include the cost of the lifeguard and insurance.
